Of course when you arrive home from holidays you try and wear everything you bought while you were away! Surprisingly,I found some winter clothes in Bali and managed to create a Sydney Sports Luxe look. Not very Balinese, but I love it!

MakMak Macarons $2.50 each
"The Grounds" large skim latte $4

What a better way to spend my first day back in Sydney than lunch at "The Grounds" browsing their new farmers market that operates in their garden on weekends. Great atmosphere! Great produce! Great coffee! "The Grounds" restaurant was extremely packed as per usual and the takeaway line was huge but it was worth the wait for their fabulous coffee! The markets had great fresh fruit and vegetables, an awesome sausage sizzle and bacon and egg rolls (you had the choice of four different types of roll), delicious salamis and cheeses, the most amazing macaroons from MakMak Macarons and an array of animals for children to play with. The macarons were the definite stand out. I overdosed on the samples trying every flavour and then bought four. My favourite was the peppermint and dark chocolate ganache. Delish! At $2.50 a macaron (same as Zumbo) he definitely has a fierce competitor on his back!

After lunch I went to the "Ikea" pop up store in Oxford Street to see the new sample collection. With all of the hype I was a bit disappointed. There wasn't much to look at and everything was a bit average!

Enjoyable day in Sydney. Good to be back, although you sure don't get a three course meal and a cocktail for under $5 in Sydney!

Overall:
Ambiance: 9.5/10
Food: 9.5/10
Coffee: 9.5/10
