Mix 'n' Match

A little bit of everything
Sunglasses: Shakuhachi, Bali
Dress: Anap, Bali
Bomber: Zara
Shoes: I Love Billy
Clutch: Seed

I rushed out of the house in my work gear (trackies) early this morning and didn't really think about what I packed in my bag to go to coffee in this afternoon. My outfit ended up being pretty much a mashup of every colour and pattern you could think of! Floral, stripes, sport luxe, block colours, neon colours, outrageous sunglasses! Most people would not dare wear this combination of clothing but in a strange way I think it works!

Today I caught up with AB at Surry Hills newest joint "Cowbell 808". Cute little cafe pumping 80s tunes, filled with quirky old school knick knacks which include old vinyl orange and brown chairs, traffic lights, a basketball hoop, vinyl  records, lego and scrabble pieces. It also has 80s style graffiti sprayed onto its walls.

The menu is quite heavy, lots of comfort food and only one salad. There is a range of simple all day breakfast options and 'dude food' style lunch options. We had coffee and the house burger. AB enjoyed his cappuccino however my latte was a little burnt. AB was super excited for the onion rings that came with the burger however when the meal arrived there were only three onion rings! They were also cold. Quite disappointing. Good filling however too much bun!

Large Skim Latte $4
Regular Cappuccino $3.50
Cowbell 808 Burger: $18

The staff were extra friendly and dressed in cute vintage aprons (maybe it is because it is so new) but it was a refreshing change from the snobby hipster waitress you usually encounter in the 2010 area.

Overall, I probably won't return to Cowbell 808, I wasn't overly impressed with the menu. The quirky decor and friendly staff were definitely the stand out!

    Eloise,
I wonder what your outrageous clothing tells of your personality. Why are you always hiding your face behind dark sunglasses?
