Every Which Way

Today was all about monochrome in every which way - spots, strips, checks, I had them all on! Both my Louis Vuitton inspired dress and coat were market finds! Just to break it up a pop of red was needed on my lips!

Lunch today was at South Dowling Sandwiches (as it is almost every week day). This little corner store pumps out giant sandwiches and salad bowls for a pittance, like there is no tomorrow. Join the queue to order in the street, get to the counter, shout your order, pay ... the daily process. Don't make the mistake of missing out on the caramelised carrots, you have never tasted anything so good. Once you taste them you'll understand why I always order an extra side of them. Yes, I am weird!

Cinderella

Dress: Born In June

Sometimes you just want to feel and dress like a Princess and yesterday was one of those days! Mind you, I was the grungiest Princess I have ever seen. Ok, the only real Cinderella aspect of my outfit was the silver, puffy, chiffon sleeves on my dress. With the navy shift dress, silver platform cons and the location of the shot I really fitted in well with the underground crowd.

I aptly name yesterday's look 'Princess of the Underworld'!

Check Mate!

The first time I laid eyes on the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2013 collection I fell in love. It instantly had me in a geometric fantasy where I was transported to a giant chess board. Who doesn't love a good game of chess and a little 1960s shift? So together, they are a match made in heaven.

Unfortunately, a Louis Vuitton little shift dress is out of my budget and I have been searching for something similar since the day I saw the collection. Finally, my lovely little friend June, from "Born In June" boutique in Paddington made a similar shift. Hooray! This shift is made from a lovely, good quality satin and is lined beautifully. It is figure hugging but still shifty at the same time - no body cons for me!
Do I even need to mention the awesomeness that oozes from my thigh high, neoprene, black, high heeled Shakuhachi boots. No, obviously they are the coolest things ever! They are a part of their Cruise collection so unfortunately won't be available for a while :(

What makes it even better is it has a big silver zip all the way down the back which means it can be worn the correct way, or backwards (with the zip at the front - although I feel like I look a tad like a V8 girl) or as a jacket. Yippee for a versatile outfit!!!

I love June!
